Several Hiking Suggestions within the Val Gardean valley

To the “Puezhütte“ (Puezhut) in the depths of the Dolomites

Walking time: 4 – 5 hours, altitude difference 1200 m (climb 350 m, descent 850 m)

To get to this easy and rewarding trail one takes the “Gondelbahn Dantercëppies” from Selva Gardena all the way to the mountain station Val Gardena Joch.

Once on the marked trail No. 2, proceed to the Clarkhut just like over the Crespëina plateaue to the lake of the same name that gleams like turquoise. Eventually you will reach the 2475 m high Puezhut.

On the way back you can cross the Langental with the trail marked No. 14.

Through the Val Gardena Valley along the old post trail

Walking time: 4 – 5 hours

The trail marked as “P” was a frequent mail delivery route in the past that led towards the valley from Ortisei. This hiking trail is most inviting in the Fall when the leaves of the trees are most spectacular in color.
