Val Gardena offers ideal opportunities through the best terrain.

In Ortisei there is a 1 km long beginner’s stretch in the “Minertwiese” which is accessible from the east river promenade. From here on a maintained crosscountry route branches off and goes along the river for about 7 km to the east end of town Soplases.

On the “Panider Sattel” – (from the road Kastelruth, 5 km from Ortisei) one finds a 5 km long track that is ideal for beginners as well as advanced skiers.

On the Val Gardena side of the Seiser Alm at the Pana Alm near Santa Cristina right below the mighty towering Langkofel there is a 8 km long track.

An exceptionally ideal and lovely area for cross-country is the romantic Langental by Selva Gardena. Where the track runs from the Sport’s Center of the Carabinieri for 12 km along the valley floor. In the part of town called La Selva there is a shorter (about 2 km long) track.

Skiing Season 2010 / 2011 in Val Gardena

The Ski opening in Val Gardena and the start of the operation of the skiing lifts is planned for the 4th of December 2010. The skiing lifts will be open presumably until 10th of April 2011
