Several suggestions for solitary Winter walks in Val Gardena

Ortisei – Santa Cristina – Selva Gardena

From the church to the promenade in Ortisei one can walk along the old railroad all the way to the “Weinstube Stua Zirm” (wine tasting facility). When you merge into the main street you can either walk to S. Cristina (1 hour) or all the way to Selva Gardena (about 2 hours), whatever you feel like.

“Troi Paián“

This forest path of bygone times binds the middle station of the Seceda cable car and the Raschötzer Forststraße (about 1 hour). Walking time 1 hour until merging with the Forststraße and from there to Ortisei is another hour.

SeiserAlm / Alpe di Siusi

50 km hiking distances are available in the high altitudes of the famous Seiser Alm (a 5 minute cable car ride from Ortisei). This is a uncomparably, beatifully sunny stretch through the Dolomite landscape.

Next to the pedestrian pathway there are other paths that branch off to various guest facilities throughout the mountain pastures. Because of the numerous paths and intersections one has a lot of options as to where to wander.
