In the skating hall “Pranives” in Selva Gardena one can ice skate as well as play the traditional form of curling.

Whoever still stands on wobbly legs can take ice skating lessons. Skate rental is also available.

The hall is open at night as well so one can show off ones skills at disco dancing.

Ice Hockey

Whoever knows about Ice hockey also knows about the Val Gardena Hockey Club because this valley team is one of Italy’s best in years. This hockey club was founded in Ortisei in the year 1927 and belonged to one of the first hockey organizations in Italy.

Over 40 years they used natural ice until 1967 when an artificial stadium was built near the forest in Überwasser that had a visitor capacity of 4500.

Skiing Season 2011 / 2012 in Val Gardena

The Ski opening in Val Gardena and the start of the operation of the skiing lifts is planned for the 26th of November 2011. The skiing lifts will be open presumably until 15th of April 2012
